Asawin Grand Convention Hotel ★★★★★

This property had just about everything you would expect at a fine hotel, but our favorite part was 24 hour room service and convenience store. The staff was very friendly and got us taxis almost instantly at all hours of the day.

We had to ask a couple of times for bathroom supplies (hand soap etc), before it was finally delivered to the room. Although we knew it was not in central Bangkok when we booked it, it really impacted our ability to go on tours, or easily access nightlife/restaurants over the two days we stayed.

The breakfast was disappointing at the right hand wing building. The room in the right hand wing building was noisy.

Room was very clean & complete with all needed ammenities. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Check-in and check-out was seamless. It's not walking distance from anything of interest to us so we mainly ordered via the Grab app for food & transportation, and we loved the 24-hr mini mart on the ground floor. About 30 mins drive to the Don Mueang International Airport.

The lobby and its facilities and decor. Everything you need is available like a mini market and coffee shops.

The breakfast was not international and we couldn't find very basic dishes that we could eat except live egg cooking station.

The hotel staff were very helpful and accommodating. I would like to send a special thank you to Pizzie (Cookie) and Bo who offered true 5 star hospitality!

The bed and pillows were not comfortable and the location of my room was not desirable.

A new hotel which is clean and has well specified rooms with the quietest air conditioning I have ever encountered. The shower room was very good and the entrance to the hotel impressive. We booked it for just one night as it is close to Don Meung airport.

Although our room was facing a very busy road, we couldn’t hear any traffic noise but an elevated train line was at the same level as our room and it was possible to hear the occasional train rattling through until after midnight and starting again about 5.30 in the morning. Not very noisy but would be enough to disturb a light sleeper. Perhaps the rooms facing the car park at the rear of the building would be better for light sleepers. Breakfast buffet had limited options for non Thai visitors.

Brand new top tier hotel. Room was everything we expected. Bakery was excellent as was the 50% off 'soft opening special' for food and drinks.

The hotel was brand new and there were teething problems with Aircon, wifi etc. Whilst staff were friendly and pleasant, efforts to resolve issues were less than effective. Hopefully they iron out the problems and future guests have a better experience.

When I checked in my room soup that was spelled on the counter near the water boiler was not cleaned and dried on the counter and the entire room smelled as if someone is cooking in that room. My colleagues had the bad sheet wrinkled as if someone slept in the bed and was not replaced. I was given 4 passwords to use the WIFI and none of them work, I had to go down to the lobby and several employees had to guess what is the password till I finally managed to log online after I wasted 1 hour. I had a banquet for a number of business colleagues, and I have invite them to lunch, the majority excused themselves due to other business commitments, yet I was charged lunch for everyone who attended the meeting 27 people without any signatory of any of the attendees as a proof of receiving the lunch service as is the habit in any hotel. Catering people conducted themselves unprofessionally and increased the music volume in the lobby to the extreme that we cannot hear each other talking to force us to rent a meeting room for an above average price of 1000 Baht per person, while most of the colleagues meeting in the lobby have rooms reserved. The hotel is far from everything, any trip to downtown and back is 2 hours wasted even far from train Stations. As the company CEO, I will NEVER allow or approve any of our 500 Employees will be allowed to book in this hotel ever again.

Most of the staff are polite and helpful, but they are not well trained and this reflected a bad image of the Hotel specifically the catering department, who were rude & unprofessional & we will not consider them in the future for any catering.

The Hotel management have increased the Music volume in the lobby to an intolerant level to force business people in the Lobby to rent a meeting room, even when the guest is or 3, although we have used the meeting room when we have 10 guest or more, we invited some of our guests to lunch and we have been overcharged for way more head counts than the number of the actual participants, they did not request any of the guests to sign on his lunch bill as proof of attending the lunch and they simply charge us for the number they decide for.

Chose the location/hotel due to its proximity to the Bangkok Immigration Office Very friendly staff supporting me with some special requests like personal print outs. Very spacious and new room

Reception staff in the evening when I checked in (after 2000) was quite "inexperiences" (eg did not know the Internet Password) but still nice and friendly International TV channels did not work
